About me
I grew up surrounded by art and music, and spending much of my free time in nature. My interest in the complexity of being human led me to study psychology, and I have been practicing as a psychologist and psychotherapist for 25 years.
Parallel to this vocation, I have pursued my creative interests, undertaking formal studies in Sculpture and Painting in between my Psychology undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The more I explore my own creative work, my own personal processes and those of the people I consult with, the more I see that these processes mirror and support each other. Both represent an amazing unfolding of an individual's experience as well as a reflection of the common experience of being human.
If you would like to know more about my psychology practice you can find that here.
I create expressive abstract artworks inspired by the landscape, the ocean, nature and a sense of place and being. My works touch a sense of intuitive recognition of emotions and experiences, with discoveries continuing to emerge over time as the relationship with the artworks develops.
My paintings are multilayered and evolve over a series of 'conversations' with the artwork. Each one is a unique process of discovery.
I paint from my light filled studio in country Victoria (Australia) located on the edge of natural bushland.
